PS3 Australian Launch fiasco. Who’s telling the truth?

Following the PS3 launch in Australia last night there are a number of conflicting stories in the media. Here’s some links to the different sites and videos. Make your own mind up on who’s telling the truth…

Kotaku thought they were in the wrong place.

Perhaps a more accurate version events was described by the Sydney Morning Herald:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/games/crowds-go-mild-for-ps3/2007/03/23/1174153291466.html

“The launch of Sony’s PlayStation 3 games console got off to a feeble start last night with officials, media and security outnumbering customers for most of the evening.”

It’s incredible (and rather sad) that the same story can be reported so differently by the press. Lucky for Sony, they have a $6million launch budget. That will get you a long way in Australia.
